Individual Therapy

Is It Time for Some Support?

You’ve realized you need some extra support.

A transition or major change is looming, one you’re not sure how you’re going to handle.

You really didn’t want this change, and you’re mad that it’s even happening.

Perhaps something has happened that your friends and family just don’t understand, and you feel isolated and alone.

Some really big feelings have surfaced that you’ve never had to manage before, and it’s scaring you.

Or you’re simply running on fumes.

Or Is It Time for Major Renovations?

You’re starting to wonder if you need to do some major renovations in your heart and mind.

The way your house is arranged, the decorations, the drywall even… none of it is supporting what your life is throwing at you.

In fact, it seems to be crumbling. About to implode.

You’ve tried therapy before, but your situation just didn’t quite fit what your counselor had to offer.

Scared, but slowly realizing you need to go deeper, you’re beginning to face what’s really underneath.

Old patterns keep rising to the surface, and you’re wondering whether you’re trapped in them or whether change is actually possible.

They’re so deeply ingrained that the coping strategies you’ve tried before just aren’t cutting it anymore.

It’s starting to feel like you need more than a little redecorating.

Let Me Be Your Scaffolding

How much support you need depends on how significant a renovation you’re facing.

Do you need to redecorate? Tear down a wall? Redo the drywall? Or completely reframe the whole house?

Some new coping strategies might help you redecorate.

They might even help you manage tearing down a wall.

But if you want to really remodel your house, you’ll need some scaffolding.

I’ll be your scaffolding.

The heavy lifting? That’s your job.

But I’ll be there, every week, to give you the support you need to tear down and rebuild the changes you want.

Let’s Put Our Construction Hats On

Together, we’ll slow down enough for you to actually hear yourself.

I’ll listen carefully and reflect back what I’m hearing and sensing, so you can see your own heart and mind more clearly.

We’ll look honestly at what’s working and what isn’t, separating hard-won wisdom from patterns that are just taking up space. You’ll learn to meet your emotional experience with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment or shame, and find the courage to look at what hurts instead of stepping around it.

From there, we do the harder work: sorting out what pain is yours to carry and what belongs to someone else, what’s within your control and what never was.

And finally, deciding what you actually want to rebuild with, and what you’re ready to leave behind.

This work weaves together psychodynamic depth work, emotion-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, shaped around what your renovation actually calls for.

Stand in the House You Built

Once you’re rebuilt enough to stand on your own, I’ll step back.

And we’ll admire the hard work you’ve done.

The walls that were crumbling now hold.

The patterns that kept pulling you back have lost their grip.

The house that wasn’t supporting your life is built, this time, out of materials you chose.
